After exfoliation with S – R Complex 4, the thearpist proceeds directly to infusion, without the need to wash off the product. In fact the active ingredients in this formula remain active and continue their gentle exfoliating activity in the hours following the session.

Main active ingredients:

MANDELIC ACID: with Mandelic Acid as a main ingredient, the S – R Complex 4 is highly recommended for patients with sensitive skin who tend to suffer from irritation. In some cases, irritation can stimulate pigment-producing cells to produce more melanin, especially amongst those with a darker complexion. This is not likely to occur with Mandelic Acid. Because of its gentle properties, Mandelic Acid is the most recommended exfoliant for patients, for example, with rosacea condition. Its antibacterial properties are also very helpful in treating acne as it regulates sebum production.

MALIC ACID: Malic Acid has balanced humectant and skin penetration properties. It removes dead cells revealing a fresh, new layer.
Suitable for use with sensitive skin types and darker skin tones, as it causes less irritation than Glycolic Acid while yielding similar results. In addition, Malic Acid is an antioxidant that helps protect from free radicals and premature aging. It can be used in pateints with light rosacea and is able to help improve melasma. It causes substantial reduction of acne breakouts and it is a potential acne scars improver.

TARTARIC ACID: Tartaric acid has keratolytic and astringent properties, it moisturizes the skin, stimulates the metabolism, promotes healing and it has an anti-aging effect. Tartaric Acid is less irritating than some other exfoliating as it gently removes dead skin cells from the uppermost layers of skin. Tartaric Acid, like other AHAs, is great for almost all skin types; sensitive, dry, combo and oily skin. Thanks to its keratolytic and astringent properties it helps dissolve skin flakes or tougher layers of skin. This gentle exfoliant also has hydrating properties because it helps bind moisture to skin, which is useful for treating dry skin conditions. Tartaric Acid is also a great source of antioxidants for skin since it is derived from antioxidant-rich fruits. For this reason it helps protect from damage caused by free radicals and environmental aggressors like UV rays, pollution, and more.
